Spring Festival Journey to Africa: Shandong Limao Tong Group Deepens Its Presence in Africa's Electric Vehicle and Used Brand Car Market
Updated:1772604858

During the Spring Festival holiday, while most people were immersed in the joy of family reunions, Ms. Hou Min, General Manager of Shandong Limao Tong Group, led a team to Africa for a high-efficiency business trip spanning multiple countries. This journey was not only a field visit to African clients but also a crucial step for our company to deepen our footprint in the African market and implement a long-term strategy.

Ms. Hou and her team visited key East African markets including Djibouti and Kenya. Leveraging the "Liaocheng Manufacturing" cross-border e-commerce exhibition and sales center established by our company in the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone, the team conducted on-the-ground research on the local automotive trading environment. Djibouti, as an important trade gateway for East African countries like Ethiopia, serves as the entry point of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" into Africa, holding a strategically vital location.

In Nairobi, Kenya, the team investigated the unique operational ecosystem of local tuk-tuks (three-wheeled vehicles). With rising fuel costs, tuk-tuk operators in East Africa are facing an urgent need for electrification transformation. Electric three-wheelers, with their low operating costs, are becoming a breakthrough for short-distance passenger transport and logistics.

During the visits, Ms. Hou engaged in in-depth discussions with several overseas clients and showcased Shandong Limao Tong's core strengths in used brand car exports and electric vehicle overseas promotion. Clients highly recognized the durability of our vehicles, the adaptive improvements made for African road conditions, and our company's philosophy of promoting green mobility.

In Kenya, with the rapid increase in the number of electric vehicles, the market demand for cost-effective electric models is growing. In countries like Zimbabwe, government adjustments to import policies have opened up new market space for both used fuel vehicles and electric vehicles. Leveraging its diversified vehicle sourcing channels and professional export service capabilities, Shandong Limao Tong has earned the trust of its African partners.

This trip to Africa not only deepened our understanding of the specific characteristics of the African market but also strengthened our determination to remain customer-centric. As the Vice President Unit of the Shandong Used Vehicle Export Association, Shandong Limao Tong will continue to rely on overseas hubs such as the Djibouti cross-border e-commerce exhibition center to provide African customers with higher-quality electric vehicles, tuk-tuks, and used brand cars, helping "Made in China" reach African households.

The wave of electrification in Africa has arrived. Shandong Limao Tong is ready to walk with you. We welcome purchasers from all over Africa to contact us for cooperation discussions!
